Control System Integration
Control system integration is where GridSync LLC starts most engagements. A modern plant
usually contains a mix of programmable logic controllers, distributed control systems,
drives, smart relays and packaged equipment that arrived with its own controller. Each
of those islands may work on its own, but the plant only runs well when they cooperate.
Our engineers survey the existing architecture, map every signal and protocol, and then
design an integration layer that unifies the whole system without forcing a needless
replacement of equipment that still has years of service left.
The work covers network segmentation, controller programming, data mapping, interlocks
and the logic that governs how subsystems hand off to one another. We write functional
descriptions before we write code, so the sequence of operations is agreed with the
client before commissioning begins. The result is a control layer that behaves exactly
as the plant expects, with every tag documented and every decision traceable back to a
reviewed design.

SCADA and HMI Engineering
GridSync LLC builds SCADA architectures and operator interfaces that make the state of
the plant obvious at a glance. SCADA and HMI engineering is not only graphics work. It
begins with a tag database and a naming convention, moves through alarm philosophy and
historian design, and ends with screens an operator can read under pressure at three in
the morning. We treat the human machine interface as a safety instrument, which means
no clutter, no ambiguous colour, and no alarm that fires without a clear action.
Our deliverables include communication drivers, redundancy for critical servers,
trending and reporting, and the operator graphics that sit at the top of the stack. We
test every screen against live or simulated data before it is energised, and we hand
over a naming dictionary so the next engineer can follow the system without guesswork.
The aim is a control room that tells the truth quickly and consistently.

Power Distribution Studies
Power distribution studies tell us how an electrical system behaves before a breaker
ever closes. GridSync LLC produces short circuit studies, protective device coordination
studies, arc flash assessments and load flow analysis for industrial and utility
clients. Each study is built from an accurate model of the plant, which means we verify
cable sizes, transformer impedances, generator characteristics and relay settings rather
than trusting an unmarked one line diagram.
The findings are translated into practical settings and equipment choices. Coordination
is tuned so that the device closest to a fault clears it first, limiting the outage to
the smallest practical area. Arc flash results are documented with clear labels and
boundaries. When a plant adds load, replaces a transformer or commissions a new
generator, we update the model so the studies stay valid. Protection is only as good as
the study behind it.

Industrial Network Commissioning
Industrial network commissioning is the discipline that keeps controllers, drives,
meters and operator stations speaking reliably. GridSync LLC designs and commissions
Ethernet, fiber and legacy serial networks inside demanding electrical environments.
Noise, heat, long cable runs and strict uptime expectations all shape the design. We
address every device, document every port, verify redundancy where it exists, and prove
that traffic flows as intended before the plant depends on it.
A commissioning package typically includes network drawings, switch configurations,
address schedules, test records and a recovery plan for the day a device fails. We also
separate control traffic from business traffic so a busy office network cannot disturb a
process loop. When the network is commissioned properly, the rest of the control system
has a foundation it can trust.

Legacy Panel Retrofits
Many plants run on panels built decades ago, full of relays, contactors and hard-wired
logic that still functions but no longer matches the rest of the facility. GridSync LLC
performs legacy panel retrofits that modernise these systems without a disruptive full
rebuild. We start by documenting the existing panel completely, because undocumented
wiring is the greatest risk in any retrofit. Then we design a phased replacement that
keeps the process running while the old logic is migrated, step by step, onto a
supported platform.
Retrofits preserve what still works, including enclosures, wiring and devices that pass
inspection, and replace only what holds the plant back. We plan cutovers around
production windows, rehearse them where possible, and maintain a rollback path until the
new panel is proven. The outcome is a panel that can be understood, maintained and
expanded, with drawings that finally match the field.

Operator Training and Support
A control system is only as good as the people who run it, so GridSync LLC treats
operator training and support as a core service rather than an afterthought. We build
training around the actual screens and sequences the operators will use, using
simulated scenarios that let them practise abnormal conditions before they occur in the
plant. Topics range from normal start up and shutdown through alarm response, load
shedding and recovery after a trip.
Support continues after commissioning. We provide documentation, spare parts guidance,
and a direct line to the engineers who designed the system. When a setting needs to be
revisited, a screen needs to be adjusted, or a new sequence needs to be added, the
conversation starts with someone who already knows the plant. That continuity is what
keeps a control system aligned with the operation over the long term.
